Digital class passes for prepaid sessions
BMO Pass class passes help studios and clubs track a package of sessions. Customers keep a supported pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, and your team records each used session when they arrive.
A session package has a different job from loyalty
A class pass represents visits a customer has already bought. A stamp card represents progress towards a reward. If someone pays for a package of classes, their pass should tell them how many sessions remain, rather than asking them to earn something again.
Before offering a package, set out which classes it covers, the number of included sessions and any validity conditions. Also explain your booking and cancellation rules. The wallet pass helps track use; it does not replace the terms of the package you sell.
From joining to checking in
Share your programme’s joining link or QR code with the customer. After joining, they can save a supported card to their wallet. At the studio, staff scan the customer’s pass with a phone or tablet and record the session through the staff portal.
Your team needs a clear process for recognising payment, issuing the right package and handling a missed or incorrectly recorded session. Confirm those steps during setup. A class pass should make the front-desk routine easier to follow, not leave the team guessing which system is authoritative.
Use memberships for access over time
If a customer buys access until a particular date instead of a fixed session count, a membership card is usually the closer fit. A class pass answers “How many visits are left?” A membership answers “Is this person’s membership current?”
Class passes are included with Pro and Enterprise, alongside your own staff-app branding and bespoke card design. Compare the plans on the main pricing section and ask us to confirm the workflow you need before choosing a package.
Prepare your check-in routine
Choose when a session is deducted: at arrival, after attendance or at another clearly defined point. Explain that rule to staff and customers. Decide how late cancellations and no-shows affect the package, and how your team checks the remaining balance before admitting someone.
If you already use a booking tool, list the information your receptionist needs in each system. Bring that workflow to setup. A saved wallet pass and a reservation are different records; confirm any connection between them before promising automatic synchronisation.
